RV Parks
RV camping around Lake Texoma is a lot of fun. There are 10 Army Corps of Engineers parks, 2 state parks, and roughly another 10 marinas that offer up RV camping. Below is a list of the RV campgrounds that we know of on Lake Texoma. There is a short description of each campground below. Most of these descriptions will include a link to more information on the RV camping area should you be interested. Enjoy!
Alberta Creek RV Camping
The RV camping at Alberta Creek is within the Alberta Creek Marina. There are 31 RV spaces available with both 30 and 50 amp hook ups. The cost for an RV site is $20 per day. There is a three day minimum on major holidays.
This wonderful campground has both lakeside sites and shaded sites. There is a complimentary boat dock with 8 spaces available. There are shower and restroom facilities inside the RV Camping area.
Big Mineral RV Camping
The Big Mineral RV camping is located on the south side of Lake Texoma near the city of Gordonsville. These campsites are in Big Mineral Marina. With over 100 campsites to choose from, you will find the campsite you like at Big Mineral.
Buncombe Creek RV Camping
Buncombe Creek is an Army Corps of Engineers park located on the Oklahoma side of Lake Texoma just off of highway 377. This wonderful campground has 52 RV campsites Buncombe Creek park is closed during the winter months from October 1 to March 31 each year.
Burns Run East RV Camping
Burns Run East is an Army Corps of Engineers park on the Oklahoma Side of Lake Texoma near the Lake Texoma dam. This is a very nice campground with 44 RV campsites that have 30 amp electric hookups. This park is open during the winter months October through March, but the shower and restroom facilities are closed and the water hookups are limited.
Burns Run West RV Camping
Burns Run West is the little brother to Burns Run East. Burns Run West is also an Army Corps of Engineers park located on the Oklahoma side of Lake Texoma near the dam. This campground is closed during the winter months of October through March.
There are 105 RV campsites within Burns Run West that have water and electric hookups. There are plenty of trees and shade within this very nice RV campground. The cost of a campsite per night is required.
Caney Creek RV Camping
Caney Creek is an Army Corps of Engineers Park located on the north side of Lake Texoma. This beautiful campground has 41 RV spaces with water and 30 amp electric hookups. This is a wonderful campground on a nice part of Lake Texoma.
There is reduced camping here in the winter months from October to March. Campsite fees during the spring and summer months is fee required per campsite.
Cedar Mills RV Camping
Cedar Mills Marina is located on the Texas side of Lake Texoma near the city of Gordonville. This marina offers up one of the best RV camping areas on Lake Texoma. All RV sites have very nice views of the lake. There are full hookups available for both 30 and 50 amp. Some of the many amenities of this campground include sandy beaches, laundry facilities, shower facilities and there is free wifi available at all campsites.
If you are looking for a great place to RV camp, Cedar Mills Marina is a great place to visit. Cost of the campsites range between fee per night depending on the site and the day of the week.
Eisenhower State Park RV Camping
Eisenhower State Park is one of the nicest RV campgrounds in all of Texas. With plenty of things to do and spectacular views of Lake Texoma, this state park should not be missed. There are 50 campsites with water, electric, and sewer hookups. There are another 45 campsites with only water and electric.
This wonderful campground has plenty of trails to explore, a very nice beach area, and two fishing piers. The cost of RV camping here is a nightly fee.
Grandpappy Point RV Camping
There is a pretty small, but nice RV Park within the Grandpappy Point marina. This RV park has campsites with full hookups and some with only water and electric. The benefit of this RV park is that you are in one of the nicest marinas on the lake and have access to the Point Restaurant. These RV sites do not have lake views.
The RV campsites at Grandpappy Point are first come, first serve. There are no reservations for these sites. The cost for a full hookup site (water, electric, and sewer) has a nightly fee.
Johnson Creek RV Camping
Johnson Creek is an Army Corps of Engineers park located on the Oklahoma side of Lake Texoma. This is one of the nicest RV campgrounds on the north side of the lake. There are 55 RV campsites with water and electric hookups. Almost all of the sites are shaded and have wonderful views of the lake.
Johnson Creek is open in the summer months, but also offers reduced camping in October through March.
Juniper Point RV Camping
The Juniper Point campgrounds are operated by the Army Corps of Engineers. These campgrounds are our favorite campgrounds on Lake Texoma. There are two sides to the park, Juniper Point East and West. Both sides are equally beautiful, but Juniper Point West is only section open during the winter months of October through March.
There are 44 RV campsites total in Juniper Point with water and electric (50 amp) hookups. This is a really beautiful park located just on the Texas side of the lake off of highway 377 just before the bridge over Lake Texoma.
Lakeside Park RV Camping
Lakeside Park is a very nice Army Corps of Engineers park located near Mead, Oklahoma. This park has 133 RV campsites with water and electric hookups (30 amp). This is a large park with many sites having views of the lake. The park is open year round, but the winter months have reduced camping (water is shut off).
Lake Texoma State Park RV Camping
Lake Texoma State Park is located on the Oklahoma side of the lake. This wonderful state park has several RV camping areas. Many of the campsites have views of the lake. The park has a marina inside and some very nice beach and swimming areas.
Platter Flats RV Camping
Platter Flats is another Army Corps of Engineers park on the Oklahoma side of Lake Texoma. This is a very nice and secluded campground on the east side of the lake. There are just over 60 RV campsites in Platter Flats. Many of the campsites are shaded and have excellent lake views.
Preston Bend RV Camping
Preston Bend Park is an Army Corps of Engineers park on the south side of Lake Texoma. This park is located just north of the town of Pottsboro. This is a pretty small campground with just 26 RV camp sites. The campsites have 30 amp electric and water hookups.
If you are looking for a fun little campground on the south side of the lake, this is an excellent spot to RV camp. There are a couple of really nice marinas nearby as well. Preston Bend Park is closed in the winter season of October through March.
Texoma Marina RV Camping
Sometimes finding an RV Campground that is a little out of the way can be a lot of fun. This is the case with the Texoma Marina RV Camping. This is not a huge campground with numerous sites around the park.
Walnut Creek RV Camping
The Walnut Creek RV campsites are located within the Walnut Creek Marina. There are only 20 RV sites available here. 16 of the sites have partial hookups (water and electric) and 4 have full hookups (water, electric, and sewer).
This is a nice little RV park on the south side of Lake Texoma near the city of Gordonsville, Texas.
